The UFMA Research and Postgraduate Dean of Research presents the new wording given to Resolution No. 906/2012 - CONSEPE, which deals with research projects and provides the norms for the presentation and approval of the same.

The Resolution was published on April 17, 2012 and became effective as of the date of publication. It repeals the provisions relating to the creation of the research projects covered by the former Resolution CONSEPE / 1993, and other general provisions.

This new resolution seeks to solve the two main obstacles associated with research projects: too long processing time and approval of projects approved by development agencies. The solution proposed in the Resolution was to change the flow of processing, being the projects financed by agencies, such as CNPq, FAPEMA and CAPES, etc. identified in the submission, making them process faster. In addition, the change in flow leaves you more linear.

Progress may also be considered, not only in the submission procedure, but in the whole process, as topics to be taken into account by the evaluators and what the reports should contain. There will now be a more uniform and systematic peer review.

It is worth mentioning that this Resolution has been debated for more than two years, initially discussed by renowned researchers from all major knowledge areas and at the last Research Forum promoted by UFMA, as well as by Departments and Centers.
